Summer Co-op

Please note, registration for summer co-op has now closed.

Current CDSBEO students can earn credits (either 1 or 2 credits) towards their high school diploma through summer Co-op opportunities. Co-operative Education courses provide students with the chance to:

  • Experience hands-on learning
  • Explore different career options
  • Apply classroom learning in real-world settings
  • Earn credits through workplace experience
  • Develop workplace skills and habits
  • Gain valuable work experience to enhance their résumé for post-secondary programs and future employment

Students registering for Summer Co-op MUST have their own placement before registration. Students will not be placed on a class list without a placement.

To earn 1 credit of co-op, you need to work 110 hours. To earn 2 credits, you must accumulate 220 hours in the workplace. Please note, you are unable to change from a 2-credit to a 1-credit once the program has begun.

For more information on Summer Co-operative Education, students should contact their school's Guidance Department.
