Program Outline

This accredited program (which follows the training standards set out by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities) can be completed over a 5 month period of time beginning in either September or February. It includes 330 hours of in-class instruction,  90 hours of supervised clinical workplace experience, 270 hours of co-op/consolidation workplace experience (with both long-term care and community placements), and 6 senior secondary school credits towards the Ontario Secondary Diploma requirements.

Based on sufficient enrollment, program locations are as follows:

  • Cornwall
  • Smiths Falls
  • Brockville
  • Vankleek Hill

Our registrations sessions for the fall 2019 Personal Support Worker program have been set. Registrations will be running in Brockville, Cornwall, Smiths Falls and Vankleek Hill. These programs will run based on sufficient enrollment beginning September 9th, 2019. Come on out to see if becoming a Personal Support Worker may be a career for you.

Smiths Falls- Monday, August 26, 2019 at 9-11 a.m. at St James Catholic Education Centre

Brockville- Monday, August 26, 2019 at 1-3 p.m. at St Mary Catholic High School

Cornwall- Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9-11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School

Vankleek Hill- Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 1-3 p.m. at St Jude Catholic Elementary School
